I had been looking forward to an opportunity to capture her cool. That quite confidence she exudes, bolstered by the humility of a person that understands the world for what it is. While visiting us for the holidays, we came into the city so she could catch up with some friends. While my fiancé returned the rental she got for the holiday hustle, we walked across the street to get out of the way & wait for her to finish her business. I noticed this cool gray wall as we hung out, talking as we do, cracking jokes, while politicking about possibilities & realities. This was it, the moment. I drew my camera from my bag & let it happen.
